The majority of people understand “health” to mean “not being sick.”

Those who are suffering from various diseases are referred to as being in “poor health.” These individuals view health as nothing more than the absence of illness.
However, there is an alternative viewpoint that is more all-encompassing, and it is maintained by organizations such as the World Health Organization and the International Scouting Movement.
This viewpoint suggests that genuine health is not simply the state of being physically well, but that it also involves being mentally, socially, spiritually, and intellectually well.
In today’s society, there is a significant amount of focus placed on the upkeep of one’s physical health; yet, the majority of individuals devote very little time or none at all to tending to these other aspects of one’s welfare.
If we want to determine how healthy we are, we need to look at how well we take care of “the whole of us,” not just our bodies.
This is the only way to accurately assess our state of health.
To maintain a healthy lifestyle, we must make it a priority to examine the aspects of our lives that we routinely ignore and devise strategies to address those issues.

According to the findings of this research, if we continue to act in this manner, it will have a negative impact on our physical health.
A significant number of the reasons we say we are in “poor health” are caused by carrying too much stress, and if we do not learn how to de-stress, these causes will eventually show physical symptoms if we do not learn how to manage our stress.
We tend to prioritize the requirements of others over our own need the majority of the time.
Taking care of oneself, on the other hand, is not an act of selfishness but rather a method for ensuring that our bodies are healthy in the broadest sense possible.
After a long day at work, we make the decision to go to the gym, which may give the impression that we are taking care of our physical body. However, if this is something that we want to do and that we enjoy doing, it will also generate positive effects on our mental and social well-being.
If we feel ourselves to be too busy to enroll in a course that interests us as personal growth, but we do not strive to reschedule our time, then we are not taking care of our intellectual health.
The first step in attaining and maintaining real health is to grant ourselves permission to engage in holistic forms of self-care.
It is not only significant for us on a personal level, but it also has an impact on our relationships as partners, as parents, and as coworkers in the workplace.
It has an impact on our productivity as well as our capacity to take pleasure in living and make the most of the opportunities that life presents to us.
We have began to get a grasp on what it means to truly understand what it means to be healthy when we embrace this holistic mindset for our lives and when we make decisions regarding our way of life.
